PlanetScale
As PlanetScale shifted its marketing focus toward enterprise clients, my role was to elevate the brand’s presence and refine its visual identity. By fine-tuning typography, introducing textured tonal shifts, and establishing a consistent visual language, we crafted a more universally appealing brand without compromising the complexity that sets PlanetScale apart. This was an exercise in experimentation with restraint; designing experiences as intentional and meticulously engineered as the product itself.

Independently run, Prestige Performance (Annapolis, MD) provides premium service and an impressive lineup of luxury and exotic cars. The team’s expertise and commitment to quality has made the brand a dependable name in the car buying and owning experience. Founded on a true passion for automobiles, Prestige Performance reflects this dedication through meticulous attention to detail and care.

When designing for the brand, special importance was placed on rooting the brand to its premium feeling, making the team’s dedication to craft and technical knowledge the primary focus. The organized structures and clean lines embody speed and engineering in its efficiency and luxury in its refinemen
t, never excessive but always exceptional. More than just a collection of prestigious names, this brand identity elevates the automobile space with an elegant, considered perspective.

Hypebae
The Hypebae template system was developed to meet the growing demand for visual content while streamlining production at scale. In the process, we refined and redefined the Hypebae voice, aiming to create a more cohesive and recognizable brand identity. The system encompassed template assets across social media (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter) and editorial series content on hypebae.com.

This project focused on usability across varying skill levels, universal accessibility of visual content, and strengthening of the Hypebae brand. It also served as a tool for fostering a shared design language and principles across the wider team.

Hana Makgeolli

Hana Makgeolli is an artisanal Korean rice wine producer based in Brooklyn, NY. Their products celebrate heritage and the labor of love. By using only organic rice, nuruk, and traditional brewing methodologies.

YAKJU 14 Bottle Label Design -
Historically reserved for the noble class, YAKJU is the precious clarified portion of a brew that captures the essence of sool in its purest form. The label’s clean and undistracted structure was designed to honor the clarity of the wine, making this brew a truly special contender in Hana Makgeolli’s lineup of hand-crafted wines.

Northstar
Northstar is a financial wellness platform that aims to clear away the complexity of financial decisions by making financial guidance accessible to everyone. Northstar offers financial tools and access to full-time financial advisors that enable users to better navigate their financial journey.

By providing financial guidance through employers, they’re able to reach people at the start of their relationship with money—their paycheck. They’re helping individuals across all backgrounds and life stages understand their compensation, benefits, and equity so they can make financial decisions with confidence.

Nostalgia through the Lens of Scents

This project aimed to explore feelings of nostalgia by using familiar and particular scents as a way to reconnect the individual to deeply personal memories. The scents should bring to question, what kind of memories we associate with certain scents and how it influences our perceptions and current realities.

Upon exploration, there will be an emphasis on visualizing how we see scents in the mind’s eye while also questioning how our connection to the past has formed our personal narratives. Nostalgia will be used as a tool for mental time travel as we discover how it informs our present selves in ultimately positive and meaningful ways.
